Reflect in your mirror a minute. Don’t you see the beautiful you? All the beauty routines are reflecting now in your skin, hair, teeth, and general appearance. How delightful!! Today we are going to clean our reflections by cleaning our mirrors. Mirrors reflect light and the cleanliness of the mirrors reflect on the cleanliness of your home.
To complete today’s Transformational Organization task you will need:
- clean, lint free cloth (newsprint works well too)
- Window cleaner (go green and make your own from 1/4 cup vinegar, 3 cups water and a few drops of dishwashing soap)
Using the same systematic procedure as we employed for the pictures in your home, begin in one room and move throughout the house.
- Remove the mirror from the wall if possible to dust the wall behind the mirror. If the mirror is attached to the wall or the mirror is too heavy, just dust the wall around and the edges or frame of the mirror.
- Next, spray the cleaner on the cloth and wipe the mirror until all the dust and streaks have been removed.
- Replace the mirror if applicable.
That’s it!! Let the light shine in and reflect the beautiful natural light in the mirrors. If your mirrors don’t reflect the natural light, consider relocating them so that you capture as much light reflected in your home. This can help to conserve energy by using natural light versus using more electricity to light your home. Ensure that the image reflected back in your mirrors are pleasant and add to the open feeling of your home. Mirrors are magical when it comes to opening up a room and giving the feeling that the room is larger and more spacious than it is.
Wow!! That was quick!! Time for a self-nurturing beauty routine to enhance the reflection in the mirror!
